'03 Discovery II with 3" OME and 285/75 16s
I just wanted to post a few pictures of my truck with the newly-installed 3" OME (751F/763R) running 285/75 16s. The wheels have been finished with Duplicolor wheel paint (rattle can) and I am very pleased with how they came out. The tires I am running are from TreadWright. They are retreads composed of BFG sidewalls and the older Goodyear MTR tread pattern. So far, I LOVE these tires. I know of several other folks that run TreadWright tires and have been very pleased; I couldn't find a bad review. I installed the suspension a few weeks back and my only gripe was lining up the lower front shock mounts. All-in-all, it went smoothly and I am very pleased with the result.
The ride is much improved: stiff, but not jarring. I have a little bit of rub on the front bumper with the larger tires, but this won't be an issue when my custom-designed Bottorf shows up! The truck is also sporting a Bottorf tire carrier that allows use of a slide-in fuel can carrier (5 gallon Blitz/NATO) when I remove the center cap of the spare. Very cool!
I recently put up the Farmtek flooring on the roof and will be installing some used Hella lamps (FF300) I picked up and a dual-beam work lamp very soon.
If you have any questions about the install process, tires, etc, just post here or shoot me a PM and I will be glad to help out any way I can.
Thanks!
Adam

Thanks for the compliments, everyone!
JavaRacer: I used Duplicolor's Graphite wheel coating. You can see more about their product and colors here. As for the center cap, I ordered some of the kind with a raised logo from AB, painted them graphite, and used a gold metallic sharpie paint pen on the raised bits. I clear-coated the wheels and center caps, and I am pleased with how they came out. I felt it was a nice, complimentary alternative to the more common black, and very easy to touch up!
Disco Mike: With the luck I have been having with trout lately, there really is no reason for me to keep fishing We will get some wheeling in for sure.
oysterhead: I actually haven't made that measurement yet. I will do so later and post the results here. I had thought about photoshopping in something clever in place of my license plate characters...maybe next time (I was lazy).
