04 tranny onto 01 chassis and motor?

Default 04 tranny onto 01 chassis and motor?

is there any problems with installing an 04 tranny and transfer case into an 01 d2?

Drive shafts are different lengths. Get those too. Transfer case doesn't have a safety solenoid in it. Oh and get the 04 transfer case shifter too. And sell it to me.

The cable is different lengths as well depends on the vin though.

hey silver this guy only wants only 500 bucks for the transmission and transfer case, truck had only 90,000 on it. are both driveshafts different lenghts?

Yea that cause he knows your going to have to make adjustments to make his stuff work in your 01. Not really worth the headache. 90,000 doesnt really matter call some tranny shop they will all tell you they never had a rover come in to the shop because of a transmission problem. Trans in these trucks don't just fail, however they were not designed to have the **** beat out of them by the drive shaft.

The transmission is the same. Its the case that is different. I've done the comparison before. The transmission is the same old ZF 4HP24 that its always been. And yes, the shafts themselves are different lengths for 2003 and 2004. If I remember correctly the front shaft is shorter and the rear one is a little longer.

thanks you the info fellas, i have the original transfer case, will it bolt up to the new tranny, if so who wants to buy an 04 transfer case? ill see if hey has the shifter too?

Ill sell you a transmission and shift cable for $400 you wont find a better deal than that.
