Default 2 or 1 inch lift

Hello all,
it's new tire time and I found a great company that sells inexpensive AT tires. The wife gave me the go ahead on 235/85r16s and I know I'll need to lift up the truck. The question is, will 1inch spacers be enough to allow the tires to fit or would I need to go 2inches. I'm a little constricted by my budget so I figured spacers would be the cheapest option right now. I don't plan on doing any serious offroading or rock crawling, just the occasional fire break.
thanks!

Actually, those should fit without a lift. I fitted 265/65r18s which are the same height but like an inch and a half wider without a lift. No issues.

Did you have to trim any of the body? How is the ride?

No trimming of the body. I had already trimmed up the front bumper some for better approach angles, but I'm not sure it would prove necessary for the size you're looking at.

The ride was about the same as before.

I think you will see some rubbing at stock height with the 235/85. I had minor rub with the 265/65 combo which if memory serves is about a 31.5 compared to the 235/85 at 32.7 or 8 depending on calculator.

Lot.of factors go into it with how tired are.your springs what you have bolted on and how you use your truck

Oh heck, Army is right. I totally right. I saw 31.7" on the calculator. In my defense, I had just woken up.

Yeah, you'll probably get some minor rubbing. Lemme do some quick math.

Ok, corner to corner on the 235/85s you're sitting at 34".

Corner to corner on the 265/65s you've got 33.2"

That's an extra 3/4" on the longest measurement of the tires cross section, so you'll definitely get some rubbing. You'll probably wanna go for 2" of lift. 1" might be enough, but also it may not.

Again, apologies and thanks for catching my error.
