2000 SD7 cruise control

My cruise control sputtered and died, and I checked for location of cruise box per Okdisco's 97 and found nothing that remotely looks like a cruise box in the LH front. For that matter, no obvious vacuum lines could be found either. Help! Someone stole my cruise box or it is hidden underneath something for the 2000 model year. So, where do I find a service manual that has plenty of photos that will help me find the not too obvious components?

Thanks,
Dave

look under your jack, underside of the metal plate it sits on.... should be able to follow the line down there...I'll try to get a pic later.

EDIT :OK, someone could have corrected me.....I have a D1, here is yours.....

Does the power light on your cruise control come on? If so you most likely have some cracked vacuum lines that need to be replaced, make sure to check the line that goes to the switch located on the brake pedal arm.

okdiscoguy: Thanks much for the photo, definitely worth a thousand words! Is there more than one publisher of a chassis service manual, and if so which is the best for me to buy?

Disco Mike: yes, the power does come on, so the vacuum lines are what I'll be tracking down and replacing. I think I read they are 7/32" somewhere in a thread, but will cut off an end for matching up at the parts store. Thanks for the help!
