2001 Disco won't start
The other day, I was out driving and stopped for lunch. Came back out a hour later and car wouldn't start. It would crank, but not start. I tried for a few minutes, but nothing. Left the car there and came back later that day, it fired up first try. Stopped by auto zone to get battery tested, and it ok, not great. Drove around for a few days with no problems. Then I was out running another errand and this time, i was stopped at a light and the car just died. Tried to start, but same thing. It would crank, but not start. Got the car pulled off into a parking lot, went and bought a new battery and replaced. Same thing. Came back the next day, and car fired up first try. Drove it home without any issues. I then replaced the negative cable and terminal, and cleaned the positive. Later that day, tried to start, and same thing.
Any ideas as to what might be going on? I read on other threads where people were mentioning the crankshaft position sensor.
