Default cd changer

Would a cd changer from a 1998 fit my 2001? Thanks

A 1998 shows a DIN connector and a two wire separate connection, the D2 shows a 10 wire connector, attached. IMHO you would be better served looking for an exact match and avoiding harness entanglements. The RAVE has more details, like what is on each pin out for the D2. Not so much on the D1.

Quick question: an SD model should be able to add the factory cd changer correct?

I have an SD with stock CD changer under the front passenger side seat, in a little compartment.

OK. Mine didnt have one and I wondered if the wiring for it was in all Disco II's

yes it should be look around under the carpet, i do not have a factory cd. but all the wiring was there to hook up my sat. radio
