2002 Kalahari for sale?
#2
Yep sadly that vehicle has turned into a Village Bicycle & I wouldn’t touch it with a 10ft pole!
The tan/black steering wheel gives it away as the same one I’ve seen for sale many times now. It started out for sale from the original owner for 2900.00 then it was reduced down to 2000.00 the last time I saw it. The original owner was honest, listed it’s faults like overheating engine (HG’s) and some other misc small flaws. Then it popped up maybe 3-4 weeks later for 7800.00 and in that ad it mentioned the HG’s were recently done 10K earlier (I call BS), They even used some of the same pic’s from the original ad. Then it vanished & now here it is again. I seriously doubt anything has been done to it besides a wash, a vacuum, and lots of armorall.... Except the price went from 2000.00 to 7800.00....
There was another white Kalahari that sold up in Seattle for 9k and it wasn’t the same vehicle. It had different tires, different aux lights and it was from the original owner with receipts from a local LR Dealership.
The Kalahari in Portland is honestly a money pit on wheels IMHO & it probably still overheats or has cooling issues that have been covered up, a bottle of HG Sealer, but the tan/black steering wheel is a giveaway!!! I was going to have my brother buy it back when it was 2k and store it for me until I made a trip up with a replacement engine. I even had emailed the original owner and we talked back n forth several times before he sold it locally.
Also I don’t call removing the Headliner a Headliner job... They pulled it because the original seller had mentioned the sunroofs leaked and the Headliner was stained/sagging due to that.

LoL no problem just making sure someone on LRF doesn’t get taken for a ride. If I was asking 7800.00 for it I’d certainly get either the proper steering wheel color or at least a black one. Just proves they’re just out to make $$$$ and like I said earlier I doubt anything has been done to it minus a bottle of HG Sealant.
I love Kalahari’s and I’d love another one, but sometimes CL is just full of village bicycles. You gotta get CL vehicles from the person that actually loved it or knows about it. Once it floats around & around = pass lol
