Default Repairing / Reupholstering Seats

After 11+ years of abuse from coffee spills, leaky headliner, butts, most recently black lab puppy teeth, the Disco's seats are looking pretty tattered. I'm wondering if anyone has reupholstered their seats with good results? I've seen some cool seat covers, but I'm looking to repair the seats I've got, not wanting to just hide the issues.

I can always fall back on trying to source a used set of seats, but wanted to explore the repair/recover option first to see if anyone had any suggestions.

Thanks in advance for any insight, worst case, I'll just source a secondhand interior.

+1 - having the seats redone won't be worth the $$ spent. Find a good low price set in junkyard near you.

Check out Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market - That's what I will generally use. Be sure to sort by distance.

Thanks gents, I suppose I should have divulged a little more info. If I had the standard tan leatherette interior I could have this taken care of tomorrow from my choice of junk yards....

BUT I've got black Tetra tech fabric which is a cloth center with leatherette trim, so tossing the oft available tan leather seats isn't going to do the trick.

I've been searching for a black leather interior on CL and Car-part, but there isn't anything close to, and I'm not ready to drop over $2K to get a used set freighted to me just yet. I was hoping that a retrim might be a possibility, but it isn't looking good.

Rear in black (excellent condition...bet the guy would take $200 plus $150 shipping) - $350

Front seats are much more expensive... best i could find was $200 plus shipping and they dont look the greatest...

So for the tune of say $350+$200+$150(shipping front seats) = $700...you could have "new" seats and the front probably wont look great anyway...

I would just go to a local upholstrey shop and see what they could do...i bet they could replace the cloth inserts for half that or more if you take the seats apart and just give them the cloth...if you did that i bet they could come up with all sorts of differnt options..just a matter of un-stiching and now you have a template.

I am always on the look-out for new front black seats...mine are nice now but couple years down the road...and they would be sweet in the garage all wired up (heat, and adjustments)

HOT DAMN. How'd I miss those!?! THANK YOU....now to convince the wife that Disco seats are more important than a new chaise lounger, this might be a losing battle
