ACE Dash Warning Light

I have a 2000 Td5 ES Discovery. The amber ACE warning light illuminates intermittently when the outside ambient temperature is high. The red ACE light has illuminated only on 3 occasions, and cleared after a short period of cooling down.
I understand that these symptoms point to the ACE fluid and filter which both require changing. As a keen DIY mechanic, is it possible for me to carry out this operation, or do I need to go to a main dealer who has access to diagnostic equipment?
I have a Land Rover CD RAVE manual, which says that I need to bleed the sytem using the test book.
Thanks,
Martin

RE: ACE Dash Warning Light

Ace uses power steering fluid. A good way to refresh it, is to get PS fluid, then empty you ace fluid, fill with new PS fluid, start the vehicle and let idle for a minute, empty, re-fill with fresh PS and repeat 4 to 5 times. You'll end up with much fresher fluid and no need to go to the dealer unless the problem is not solved.
