Default Additives

I have heard a lot of the guys on here talk about Lucas poducts and Seafoam. I've been reluctant to use Seafoam, not sure why, just doesn't convince me yet. But, I just finished reading an article about Lucas products and until I read something to the contrary I'm never using it again.

I used it once in a high mileage Ford Explorer in the tranny, and it did make a noticeable smoother shifting difference, but that car was worthless to begin with so I didn't care.

Take a look at this- http://bobistheoilguy.com/images/lucas/lucas.htm

Pretty interesting reading.

It's a fluid pump, no? Was there something about additives in there? I can't figure out what is going on in that thread.

Well, some times, reading articles that may not be substanciated are not worth reading.
There are more Rover owners using different Lucas product and SeaFoam as well as B&G's 44K, across the United States then any other products. Rovers are hard vehicles to maintain and when people find something that works they stick wih it.
I am curious what you read about all the Lucas products that gas you swearing you won't use it even though it helped your old Ford's tranny?
Mike
