Disco2Guy is right. Go lower on the buy in and save for repairs/maintanance/accessories. Especially with the market values soooo low right now. I do love the '04 model year, theyre great trucks. Don't get an LR3...

Same here... I got my HSE7 last October and paid $17k for it and I feel like I got ripped (50k miles, loaded), even though the local dealer had a HSE with more miles and less features (not a 7 seater, no rear air, no DVD) for $26k...

What can you do... Part of life...

On the thread topic, that's too much for that Disco.... There is a CPO LR3 locally that is loaded for only $23k.... Get them to come to the $16k area and you'll feel better...

Thanks for all the input guys

Not a big fan of the LR3... It has to be a Discovery. I live in Cincinnati and like I said have been searching for a year or so... This one in Indianapolis is the closest with the miles and the warranty. I have been to see it twice and it was once sold and the sale fell through. The market for Discoverys is not like other premium gas guzzling cars... the car is no longer made and people who love them (and dont care for the LR3) are buying them up - especially the really clean ones like this one.

I've test driven 100K Discos and they dont ride as nice and arent nearly as clean, I plan to keep the carfor many years so I want it to feel as much like mine as possible, and not something that was neglected in its earlier life. Does anyone see where im comen from?
