Lack of use usually make them seize up they then as Mr.buzz stated take a good amount of pb blaster to free up.

All I can say is don't drive without brakes.
Walk
Hitchhike
Borrow a car
Steal a car

Think of some consequences of your decision to drive without brakes. How would you feel if you:
Hurt someone else
Hurt yourself
Kill someone else
Kill yourself (oh, ignore this, you wouldn't care at that point)

Then think of the financial consequences, if some smart attorney starts checking, after your injury or fatal accident, and finds this thread with you admitting that you decided to drive knowing that you had non functional brakes, you probably would never get out from under the financial millstone (and your insurance company probably wouldn't cover any of your expenses).

Think about it.

I drove a 1991 Range Rover from Seattle to Rochester NY with the electric Brake fluid pressurizing pump non-op.

Was not the smartest thing I ever did.

Key was to admit you are not going to stop fast and leave plenty of leeway.

I finally got to a Master Mechanic's house and I was able to fix the booster pump there.

Turns out it was plugged with fine metal filings.

I was amazed when I had normal brakes again.

I then continued to Boston and there was quite a snow storm in Albany NY.

Wow, that was fun tho.

I had a cop in Montana stop me cause I bought the Rover without a front bumper.

2004 - yes, was a good year.

As long as you have health it is a good year.
If you have more than that - it is a bonus.

Wow.
Pulsing the eBrake.
Ebrake is evil under motion.

better to put it into low range and go down with the transmission jammed in 1st.

You'll get down fine that way.

Better to stop driving the truck, the e-brake use is why you spun it.

No brakes = don't drive the vehicle. It's not rocket science, fix the brakes. Maybe the money you save on fuel will allow you to afford to fix the disco

First you NEVER use the PARKING brake when trying to slow down, BAD idea especially on slippery roads.
Second, do NOT pulse the brakes, firm steady pressure, if you have to stop at the top of the hill and then slowly work your way down then thats what you do.
Third use a low gear on the transmission and the t-case is needed, 1st gear and let the truck go, it wont go fast, use the brakes to assist.
Shift into a lower gear BEFORE you start your descent.
Fourth, this is another reason you dont need to go broke buying all of the "best" things for your truck, you are going to go hungry buying the "best" motor oil and filter, the "best" brakes etc. and then you'll crash your truck or it will get stolen or it will be lost in a flood or a tree will fall on it and it will all be for nothing.
I am glad you are ok and it would be a shame if something happened to your truck after you worked so hard and waited so long to get it.
