Alternator? Fuse? Electrical?

Question to y'all:
Right after a cold start or a start after enging not running for a while...dash lights and head lights are dimmer than usual. Once you drive about a block or get the engine to rev up higher than 3K...the dash lights and headlights turn to normal brightness.
Noticing a slow drain on the battery. Obviously it is looking like that the alternator is not getting a consistent charge. Just want to confirm this with anyone's similar experience. Want to make sure that it is not a fuse or anything wierd. Pls confirm similar incidents b/c it looks like the alernator is on its 9th life. Thanks!!!

RE: Alternator? Fuse? Electrical?
I would suggest you go to some place like Auto Zone, where they do free battery and alternator test, and have them perform a load test to see what is going on. Before doing this, check, clean and tighten your battery and alternator connections.
Let us know how it turns out.
