Another Day, Another Busted tool on a rusted nut..
2 Attachment(s)
My anti sway bar link assembly on the right hand side is shot. I'm trying to replace it but the nut is seized on the thread pretty good. Because it's already trashed I should be abler to get a vice grip on the back side? Has anyone else run into this?

Wait, did you break tension on the nut(have it spin freely) before inserting the t40 torx in there?

Okay good haha, because that's what I did by mistake at first(tried to twist wrong way with torx).
Basically what I ended up doing(besides soaking the thing with PB blaster to death) is get a wrench on there, insert the torx in it with a socket, get the socket wrench lodged against the axle housing, and twist with the wrench, not the torx socket. Sorry if I explained that like a 6 year old. |
From what I remember, I cut mine off with a zip disc from the opposite side of the mount from where your wrench is.
