Auxillary Lighting install on/off switch question
Hi all,
I am installing aux lights on my 2003 Disco II and doing the modification posted on here by Urban Panzer where I use a cruise control on/off button and an automotive relay to get around the questionable Land Rover relay/control module under the hood.
My question revolves around the blanks on the instrument panel. I plan on installing the aux lighting switch on the left side of the steering column, but when I pull out the "blank" there are wires attached to the back of it. On the right side, there is just the blank. (See pictures.)
Any thoughts what these wires are for?
Thanks.

Rovers North has that switch listed as: SWITCH - VOLUME DOWM DISCOVERY I
Switch #10 in the diagram: http://www.roversnorth.com/store/c-4...es-relays.aspx
My truck is an '01; i pulled that switch out and mine is blank w/ no wires behind it. Plus, my switch layout is different than your '03. My fuel door switch is located w/ the SLS button and hazard button and HDC button.
