Black steels wheels vs alloys wheels for off road.
 

I thinking of buying some good sturdy cheap all black steel wheels for discovery does any one have these on their discoveries and what are the prices of some wheels plus what are the advantages of steels wheels over alloys and are they better for rockcrawling.[sm=smiley2.gif]

steel wheels will be better cause you won't mess up your stock wheels, also if you drive it often you can have mt's and biggertires on the steel ones and only usre them when wheeling, which will save the tread on them, save gas milage and durig everyday crusing you will have the good look of the stock ones. If you can fit 15" wheel all the way around do it, cheaper tires.

no I am saying the smaller tires you run on stock wheels vs. bigger tires on the steel wheels will save gas.
IE: switch to the stock wheels with smaller tires when running around town or normal driving, put the steel wheels w/ the bigger, more agressive tires on when you go wheeling.
