Default Brakes revisited

Yesterday I got pulled over by highway patrol because my brake lights were constantly on. My brake sensor light inside came on recently, but I was unaware that my lights were actually on. Any ideas where to begin looking for the issue? I did change my brake pads about six weeks ago.

Is this an easy fix or will I be coming out of pocket for a mechanic? I got the engine read at Autozone before I saw the post form Mike. No brake issues came up, but I did have three codes come up PO126, PO441 and P1590. I don't know what any of these codes mean

1590 means your 3 amigos are active, the 126 is for insufficent coolant temp for stable operation and the 441 is an incorrect purge flow for your evap system.
The brake switch, if it has failed is a 5 minute job. You might want to down load a free copy of the Rave CD, shop manual, from my list below.

Thanks Mike... I'll be dling once I get to my computer. So with those codes my truck needs some major work? I know the tres amigos is very bad, and is beyond my own capabilities to repair. I really love my truck, but don't know if I have the funds at this time to invest.
