Is it easy DIY job to check the vent pipe or I will need a technician? I have checked in manual and cant find where is it located. Can you please write where is vent pipe located and if its the same part as vent breather?

thanks for helping out.

I found mine stickily by accident, I over filled my tank and the extra gas went down the over flow tube and out came a spider and its web so I went home and blew air down the vent/over flow. I don't know it that was the problem for sure but I do know I can fill my truck now.

When I picked up my D2 it was on E with the light on. Went to the station and could only get 20 into it. thought great fuel gauge not working. Next 2 time I fueled it the same thing about 20 and acting like the tank is full. On the next fill the d2 was on a down ward angle and wow it took a big gulp.......and the gauge was actually working.

I thought this was normal? Isn't the capacity 25 but it reads flat empty at 20 to keep 5 gallons in reserve?

On my D1, the fuel gauge never goes past 3/4. But after a fill up, it'll stay there for close to the first 100 miles or so, then go down normally. Which leads me to believe that the tank is fine, the gauge is just goofy. Interestingly, the rear quarter of the truck on the fuel filler side shows signs of having been hit or scraped against something at some point. (4-wheeling mishap?)
Disco-fever's estimate of 300 miles to a full tank is spot on.

300 miles on a tank!!!!! I would be doing the happy dance!! I am lucky to get 210 miles per tank, the best I have had was 245. I blame it on my wife who drives the thing like its a race car!
