Center diff NOT UN-locking
Once a month or so I'll "exercise" my CDL just to keep it from getting stuck like I see on here with so many people. I usually just drive it around the block preferably on a wet day so there's less strain on the drive train when I turn corners. Well the last couple of times it hasn't dis-engaged right awaywhen I put the lever back in the unlocked mode. Not sure if it was like this before and it's normal, I just didn't noticeor something is getting stuck? It will dis-engage itself if I continue driving in less than a ½ mile. Thoughts anyone?

RE: Center diff NOT UN-locking
Usually pretty normal, try putting it in reverse after you disengage the CDL and it should pop out easier. Also unless you are in snow, mud or off road, don't engage it or you will bind it up.

RE: Center diff NOT UN-locking
Thanks for the tip(s). I've let it ROLL backwards but not tried putting it in reverse, I'll give it a shot next time.I'll make sure I'm on a soft surface when I exercise it in the future. I live in suburbia so a good patch of dirt road isn't easily come across.
