Default Trailer brake control & 4 Pin to 7 Pind adaptor

Hello All,

1. I figure there are people on here that have done a lot more towing than me. I did some searches but didn't see a definitive answer on the question.
I am looking to connect a Agility proportional brake controller to a 7 pin trailer connector. I already have the AB adapter for the 4 pin flat connector. If I buy this: Will this all work.

2. Next Question. Where do I tap in to the brake wiring to run the Agility brake controller up front in the drivers foot well.
Agility? Proportional Brake Control w/plug in connector

I tapped my brake controller off the brake light wire that runs to the rear. You can do it pretty much anywhere, in the run, at the brake switch, at the brake light....

Thanks AntiChrist. Any chance you could take a picture of where you wired up under the foot well. My friend has 2012 Durango Citadel and his ride has a dedicated plug for his brake controller. Makes it much easier.

I actually connected mine above the headliner where the wires run to the rear.
The RAVE manual includes wiring circuits, including low res photos of component locations.

The adapter you used was the same one I used.

Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole and 4 Pole w/Test Lamps Curt Wiring C57674

Mine just had Hopkins name on it instead of Curt......

Those are the ones I tried, but found they didn't hold up well to use on an off-road vehicle, so I switched to Cole Hersee all metal ones after the Hoppy's got broken.
