Changing OEM Oil Pressure sending unit

My oil pressure sending unit has stopped working and thus I am getting no red warning light on startup. I have an electronic gauge with the sending unit for it attached to an oil filter sandwich. I still want the factory warning to work so I ordered the OEM sending unit to replace the existing.

The problem I am having is that It looks next to impossible to get in there! it looks like I have to remove everything on that side of the engine to get to it?

Has anyone actually changed the original sending unit and can you actually do this without removing other stuff?

It's removed from underneath, the only thing you have to remove is the belly pan (if it's still in place) The belly pan is hard to remove if the vehicle is still sitting on it's wheels, the body has to be lifted a bit to get it out. I've never tried to get the oil pressure sender out from the top side.

Then throw the belly pan away, it is always in the way.

I changed mine in about 15min.
Its easier with the oil filter removed.
