Clicking under shift lever when brake pressed

Just did the option B for brakes. Coincidentally, now when I tap the brakes, it clicks under the shift console between the front seats under the shift lever. I placed my hand around the plastic housing on the shift console and could feel the tap as I depressed the pedal repeatedly.

Any idea what that is? Only in Park. Solenoid?

That is what it is supposed to do. It's always done it or you would not have been able to shift out of Park. You are just highly sensitive to your truck today. :-)

When you step on the brake pedal the brake light switch not only turns on the brake lights, it triggers solenoid under the shifter that allows you to shift out of park. All good.

Super highly sensitive. :-).

Thanks!

What is "B" option and does it produce a pronounced clicking for the sensitive afterwards? Did a search and found nothing.

Sorry, option B to fix the 3 amigos in the SLABS module. I unclamped brake lines from the plastic clips and thought maybe one was loose and jiggling

Had the same panic. Its a sound you only notice when you've just changed something and are being hyper-sensitive. :)
