Climate Control Issue DII 04 HSE7
 

Hi everyone, this is my first post to the Land Rover forums and super glad I found y'all.

About three days ago, the weather here in Indiana dropped to the negatives at night (with windchill). It'll be getting much colder. Anyways, I went to start the car the next morning and everything mechanical ran fine. However, about 5 minutes into driving, the front passenger side of the vehicle wasn't blowing out any air from the vents. The driver side blows out air just fine. It runs to the exact temperature I specify and to the exact intensity. Why isn't the vehicle blowing out air on the passenger side all of the sudden?

Do we think its the blower motor resistor? How would I be able to know?

Any help I can get would be much appreciated! Thank you all!

If there's air movement anywhere, the resistor (transistor) is fine. Probably a blend door motor. Turn the fan off, or unplug it, then switch the blend from floor, chest and all that. Put your ear close to the glove box, you should hear the motors whir. If you don't, you'll need to replace the blend door motor

Thank you for the quick reply and info! Since the air is running on the driver's side I don't need to replace the LH blend motor, but would it be a good idea to replace both? I think I found the blend motors for the DII on atlantic british here for not a horrible price: Land Rover Parts, Accessories and Information

Hmmm, I thought the blend doors were vacuum operated??
I was going to suggest you check vacuum hoses under hood.
