Code P1590 ABS HDC TC
I just had my front brake pads and rotersreplaced. My ABS HDC& TC lights have been on for a couple of months now. They came on when I was off roading and my front brakes slipped a little after going through water.
The shop that replaced did my brake work a reputable Jaguar shop that services my two Jaguars, said that error code P1590 was the fault that was causing the errors and lighting the warning lights. What is error code P 1590? Thanks |

RE: Code P1590 ABS HDC TC
That code is a rough road signal. Have the codes re-set and you will be ok on that one.
Your lights aren't on from that. Unless your shop had a Testbook compatible scanner that can get into the system and read the ABS and ECU codes, all you are going to get is OBD2 codes. Call them back and see what type of scanner they used. If it isn't a Rovacom or Autologic or something like that, they can't read the ABS codes that are setting off the lights, or re-set them. |
RE: Code P1590 ABS HDC TC
My independent Jaguar shop reexamined the ABS system and found a dirty contact on one of the wheel sensor connectors. They cleaned the contact and reset the system. So far so good. Hopefully this inexpense fix will solve the problem.
Thanks for the help! |

Oh my...the dirty wheel sensor!
I got my '04 Disco w/ 23,000mi back from Land Rover yesterday. I had the Brake/ ABS/ TC & Hill Descent lights on. Shop said it was missing the left front wheel speed sensor and replaced it with an improved harness? |
