I'll add that i just cleaned the brakes a lot

I also performed the ABS Part B fix - bypassing the shuttle valve plug.

That said, I've bled my brakes 4 times now and still spongy - what gives!?

I filled up the reservoir, capped it, did all four breaks, normal pattern - 4 times.. still spongy as hell.

You need to activate the ABS to properly bleed the brakes. Either a Textbook will do it or you can do it yourself by putting the truck in low range, getting up to 20mph or so, and activating the downhill decent control until you slow to a stop... Then bleed again. The air bubbles will pass out of the modulator that way.

Which may or may not work if you have the tres amigos.

Thanks @Davo03S - that worked!

Car back on the road

only thing left is pending right wheel sensor and a permanent knock code.

Ok, after driving for more than 50 miles or so, wheel sensor code is gone-baby-gone - for now anyways.

Knock code: I've gone and continuity tested the wires and connectors - all good. I went and torqued down the actual sensor to 16 ft/lb's. STILL getting the code...

I think, before I tear into the actual clips behind the glove box (which look near impossible to get to really), I'm gonna just order a new sensor...

Update - installed new sensor and now it's stalling left and right after starting. Especially in reverse.

Getting p0332 (pending) and p0335

The Cps is brand new...

Not sure what to do anymore.

Ok. Started after cooling a bit.

Went to torque down new knock sensor as well as I could and broke the post off about an inch and a half out.

Ideas?
