Guys-
I installed this kit from Gerry and it is amazing. Pure genius IMO.

Yes, you need the custom sized wires from Kingborne but you need new wires anyway. I added the Kingsborne spark plug boot insulators to run the driver's side spark plug wires through and over the alternator for extra protection. You can run 2 wires through one insulator if you get the natural colored insulators. The colored boots are slightly smaller and won't work. I know...

On a related note, when we installed new coil packs, wires and this kit, my motor ran like a dream. It had been making all sorts of noises (don't they all) but the new set up made a big difference. We figured that we'd been battling a low/weak spark condition for 2 years.

Great job Gerry!

Many thanks for the follow up and its always good to know that it worked for you. Been out for a while for work and of course running around to complete more kits. The kit had been modified a bit to replace discontinued items made for Discovery but nothing major.
Well anyway, thank you so much.

Not too long ago I had a chance to join a Land Rover off roading event in NJ and met the owner of Authorized Imported Car, one of the biggest Land Rover and Jaguar repair and restoration facility in NJ and showed them how fast the kit installation will be in one of the Discos parked outside for servicing. Soon after, here is what he posted of Facebook.
Cheers!

Yes. That is part of the genius of this design. We left the old coil pack in place, snipped the plug wires and installed the relocation kits, coil pack and wires. BTW, I bought an inexpensive coil pack kit from eBay ($50?) and it works fine. You need the bracket that holds the coil packs that is included with the eBay set up. No need to remove the induction with this approach.

But leaving all that extra weight? That would decrease your gas mileage by .0000001 MPG!
