Waiting for custom length wires.

Relocated my coil packs between the alternator and coolant reservoir.

Fabricated 3/16 aluminum plate.

Angle bracket support under the packs for more firm and stable attachment.

Coil harness extensions? If so, where from?

If not, how are you doing the extensions?

At this point I'm waiting for the magnecor cables (shipped). The connectors, waiting for the female connector that goes to the coil pack (ordered). I just ordered the male 3 pin connectors, but, until it arrives, thats the only time I can see if it fits. The male connector is hard to find and its tial and error once it arrives. Otherwise I will just extend the original harness.

It might be easy just to make an extension harness just to plug in both ends but there might be more possibilities of contact loss. Until I get to that point, I'll decide.

Still waiting for stuff. Ill post picts once completed. But somehow I made a diagram for my reference once I get all the stuff. I ordered the cable at magnecore directly.

You do good work.

My only concern is moisture coming thru the grill and the fan. Or a potential coolant leak. Make sure when you redo the harness for the coil connector, that it is sufficently water proof.

Thanks and true regarding possible moisture. We had 2 days of rain here in NJ and coil seems to be dry. I installed it already and left all the contacts open like in the photo and no water inside, same time, i was driving all day. I also got some O-rings to slide on every coil chimney so when i place the wire rubber cap it will slide up for additional sealing. I had a major coolant leak not to long ago and squirted hot coolant inside alternator, had it replaced coz it died. Just want to avoid another mishap. Thanks again.

Weather Proofing Coil Packs

I tried checking the sparkplug wire rubber boot and it seems like its airtight. If I tried removing it from the coil pack, it pops like a plunger. But anyway, I tried to make sure to watertight the coil connectors by adding an O-ring below the boot.
Test: I pushed the ring all the way to the bottom applied waterproof grease, insert the rubber boot and slide the O-ring upwards to add another seal incase of water splash.

Waterproofing with O-ring

Wire installed then let O-ring slide upwards to the boot.
