Default OME 2" on its way how long to install?

Just wondering how long should it take to install springs and shocks on my 2004 DII? Also last night ordered the ultra gauge it was on sale...

A couple of hours at least. The front shocks are annoying. There are some tutorials on youtube.

It depends on a few things. For example, on my old D1 it took forever as the bolts were all rusted and I had to grind some of them off. But on my DII it was all pretty clean and I had air tools this time so maybe 3 hours. The biggest pain is using spring compressors, as the ones I have take forever to install and remove. You can basically pry the rear springs in and out with enough extension. The fronts are a bit more work as they're built in to the shocks, so you have to take out the whole assembly, then use spring compressors to remove and install.

Took me 6.5 hrs by myself the time I walked out to the garage to the time I was back inside....that includes a lunch break, test drive, and 4 trips to the fridge for beer.

Keep in mind, this was the first 'major' work I've ever done on a vehicle. It's straightforward, but as mentioned above, lining up the lower front shock bolts can be a bit tricky. For the rear, getting the axle pressed down low enough to fit the new spring was the challenge as well.

Watch the Lucky8 videos, they helped me out a ton. Also, recruit a buddy if you can. With 2 people, this would be a breeze.

You, a friend, a floor jack and 2 jack stands can do it in 3 plus hours on your drive way.
Might go to Lucky8, I believe Justin has a video walking you thru the entire project.
