Connecting fuel line back to rail

I am the down hill side of my head gasket change. I can't seem to get the fuel line to connect back to the rail. I depressed the grey tab and it just won't go on.

Any tips?

it should just snap into place even without pressing the tab, look inside of the fuel line fitting and see it the o-ring has come out of place and is stopping the fuel line from sliding all the way in.

Also don't press the tab in too far.

Ok got. A night of sleep and looking at it clearly in the morning and it snapped right on.

I wonder why the Rave manual says to set the bolt that holds the lower intake gasket down but not tighten until you have the intake on and torqued. But with the rail it is right on top of that rear bolt?

Because the valley pan gasket needs to be able to move outwards while you properly torque the lower intake manifold on. If you dont' allow for that, it could wrinkle in the middle somewhere (bad).

Your fuel rail should be slightly bent to the passengers side where it crosses over that bolt. It's plenty of space to get at it with a 1/4" drive socket. No so much with 3/8".
