hey guys,

since i got my rover back from the shop, it was there for over a year..... needless to say i cant stop playing with my returned love and i noticed tonight it was dark outside!!!!! its like the sun disappeared

I couldnt let this problem stop me... so i installed a cool led light in the engine bay..... i used some adhesive and some packing tape to keep it in place untill the adhesive sets

heres the light:

Great idea, I sometimes wish I had one, maybe I'll try it.

Great idea...hope it holds up to the heat. Let us know...

cheesy ?

every car i've ever owned had a light under the hood!!

facts:

-cars that have cool gadgets are cool
-theses trucks break down all the time, even at night'
-are you gonna be there to hold my flashlight?

-if this is cheesy, then you'll never have both of your hands while holding a flashlight fixing your land rover at night time

lol

nice fix ! let us know how it holds up.

See, my solution to this is to keep a 3d cell mag lite in my driver side map pocket as well as an led head lamp. That way, I have 2 light sources that I can point wherever I need them. Great idea, we sell those puck lights at Lowe's, I just don't think it's gonna hold up to the heat very well as the whole casing is plastic.

I would love to know if it holds up to the heat. If so let us know because I would put a couple under my hood too.

Very clever.

That adhesive $uck$, I put these lights in my box trucks for work and the adhesive failed after about a month...not stuck to metal though. I'd keep that extra packing tape on there just in case, wouldn't want that thing bouncing around your engine compartment:)

the adhesive is JB WELD so i think i'm good to go..

btw when you open the hood the light comes on and when you close the hood the light goes off!!!
