Cruise control and a/c directional control broken help please.

Cruise control doesnt work it slowly decelerates must be a suction issue i can tell its trying to work because It doesnt slOw as quickly as when youtake your foot off the gas. Also, the directional control for the ac is busted its stuck on windsheild defrost even tho display says feet and head etc. can anyone help?

You need to look for a cracked vacuum line on the cruise vacuum lines, start at the brake pedal switch and follow it into the engine bay.

Its not a problem with the HVAC control panel, it is a problem with the blend door, fix your vacuum leak and I bet the blend door works then too.

i am not too familiar with working on Land Rovers where can i find the correct line? Would i start inside the car at the brake pedal or from the other side of the fire wall?

Either side is fine, you are looking for vacuum lines, which squeeze flat (they are hollow) while other black cables have wire inside.

Land Rover or not makes no difference, a car is a car and working on them is all the same.
Start inside at the brake pedal and follow that vacuum line into the engine bay.
They tend to crack at the connections, you can just snip off the cracked end's and reattach as long as you have enough length.

found a crack at the connection to the vacuum pump assembly. fixed it and the a/c control is working again. Does this mean that there is no more cracks in the line? The cruise control still does not work.

Keep looking.

Rave would show you the entire C/C Setup on a D2. It only has one vacuum line! All this talk of brake switch vaccum lines = RRC/D1. You have the electric vacuum pump, vacuum ball, and vacuum hose. The rest is electronic besides the cable linkage. C/C ECU, clockspring, on/off button, fuse, and set/resume buttons.

I have explained diagnosing the C/C on here several times. Search function should show it. Rave manual puts pictures & wiring at your fingertips.

Nearly 8 years ago...I would believe this rover is dead by now...and cruise is not an issue...lol.

Then do you have any clues to why me and other(s) are having problem that our CC shuts down when we turn on the radio? What's the "link" between the two?
