D2 Pinion Angle Correction

Has anyone here done or see someone who's done the work on a D2 to correct pinion angle properly? What did they do? This is one case where the change from D1 to D2 made something significantly worse, did Land Rover not realize people lift these?

RE: D2 Pinion Angle Correction

Why are you asking? If you are worring about castor correction do to a lift of over 3"s, that is one thing and correctable but why pinion angle, it has never caused any issues on Discos.

Except driveline vibration if you bring castor back into spec. Or do you think Steve at RTE is being dishonest with me? Dunno, he's been excellent to deal with so far.

RE: D2 Pinion Angle Correction

I have been running a 3" lift for years, there has never been any issue with my truck, on or off the road regarding my pinion angle, my diffs get proper oiling, I am not generating any gear wear. Sure, if you go over 3.5"s you will need to replace the drive shafts on both the D1's and 2's, but if you are into the big lifts, you need to upgrade them any way for the extra strength.
As to Steve being dishonest with you, I highly doubt it. What was the issue you were discussing with him in the first place?
