Did I just Level Up?
Hey guys.
I have been working through my maintenance list on my 01 D2... which I did because of the info on this forum.
I just replaced the plugs and wires... thanks to you guys.
Then I did an induction cleaning and seafoamed the schmidt out of my engine! ...because ya'll recommended it.
I fired it up with confidence through the sputtering...(like you recommended...) and looked at my flashing CEL reached down and check my Ultragauge... (which I bought because you recommended it...) and noticed I had five codes: P0300, 0301, 0302, 0305 and 0307. I immediately recognized them as general misfire and individual cylinder misfire codes (since you all told me) and I chuckled to myself as watched in the streetlights as I smoked up the neighborhood with burnt off carbon deposits.
She is already running better.
It's a great day to be driving this truck and it's because of everyone on this forum and the time they put into to supplying quality advice and information. Thank you all a ton.

Great. But IMHO what you see is likely not all carbon deposits. The Sea Foam takes the same path as air entering the intake, and that pathway is also used by the PCV system to return oil fumes to be burned away. Mine was coated with residue which looked like baked on maple syrup. I could see where Sea Foam treatment had gotten some of it. Some of that is dissolved by the Sea Foam and burned off in the cylinders. My point would be that you would want to be sure PCV system was cleaned out as well. And hit the throttle body butterfly with carb cleaner or Sea Foam spray.

I did spray out the IM with carb cleaner and tried to clean that off as well asd possible last night while the seafoam was sitting there corroding for 30 minutes, but what is the PCV system/lines? Your picture looked like you took the whole IM off? Is that wha tI should clean with the carb cleaner?
