Diff lock light out?
 

Was off-road today, diff lock light came on as normal....but toward the end of the day, ithe light wouldnt come on. When you turn the ignition over - does this light typically illuminate? I didnt see it?

From what I've seen the diff lock indicator doesn't come on during the bulb check when you turn the key on. Could be the switch on the transfer case that detects diff lock is faulty. Bought a used 04 transfer case recently and all the switches on it are flaky.

Yeah, thats what i am thinking now, too. I found this tip (see link, last paragraph) and was able to confirm that the diff lock is still engaging.

About that switch, I bought a cheap copy off Ebay. One of the terminal blades broke off while I was installing it with my fingers. A serious POS. It delayed me putting the transfer case back under the truck for a week. Buy a genuine one even if it's four times the cost.
