Thanks! I have OME HD and spacers to net about 4 inch lift. Not sluggish, in fact more powerful than with my Treadwright 285/75/16.

Treadwright is ok for price and to get by for a while. But they are heavy and harder to balance.

Toyo lists those tires at 75lb a piece. Probably lighter than the equivalent treadwright, but still about 30lb more than a 255/70r18 or the skinny treadwrights I listed.

Do you have problems tucking those on the trail?

What kind of trails are you going to use it on? If it's fireroad type stuff 18's are fine but if it's going to be rocky trails where you are going to drop air pressure when you get to the trail I recommend selling the 18's and getting 16's. The tires will be cheaper in 16" and with more sidewall to flex they will ride better off road. I just scored a set of 5 265/75/16 BFG KO's for only $450, 4 of them have about 85% tread left and one is brand new.

However, I really really like the skinny/tall tire that is synonymous with land rover, and treadwrights have a phenomenal reputation in recent years, super tough tires.
Please post some pics when you can. I'm running out of options for finding 16x7 wheels, so maybe bmw is a good move

Will do, should have it all together by the end of the week. I had a hard time finding factory Land Rover wheels in 16x7 at a decent price so I just started googling, ebay'ing, and craigslisting everything in a 16x7 and / or a 5x120 bolt pattern

Tell me about it.
Aren't there are a few other factors that need to be matched up... iirc backspacing, inner diameter, and something else I think.

Factory offset on on all the disco 2 wheels is +57. The bmw wheels I got are a +34. So these wheels will stick outward 10mm more than a land rover 18x8 wheel. This should be nearly unnoticeable.

Don't think you need to worry about inner diameter.

Hub diameter on pretty much every wheel I found in a 5x120 bolt pattern is larger than the disco 2 70.1mm so no worries there. I bought hub centric rings for $11 but I think they are unnecessary.

Last thing that will change is the lug nuts. Had to buy some traditional conical lug nuts, the wonky deep shank monstrosities on the factory wheels are land rover specific.

im running omin radar renegades 265/65/18. they are cheap look great and ride good. i think 4 was 540 shipped from ebay.

ive noticed lucky8 usually has the full 20 set of britpart for around $80-$85 on eBay. That's the downfall to these rims. I'm thinking when I get mine powdercoated, to remove the outer piece and have him powdercoated the lug nut itself and see how long it will last. At least I know I won't have to worry about somebody using the wrong size and boogering them up when they rotate and balance them.
