Default K&N Air Filter

Thought I would post again for newbies searching and asking. This time with my own personal experience.

I had one on my truck when I got it. I heard they weren't good, so I took it off. No change in performance, and MPG got better...
\
recently got another as a gift, so I thought I would test it and track the results.

I'm to cheap to buy one just to try. Or is it to broke? I get the two confused.

Just looking at the K&N website. I find it funny that no charts are given to show increases in power or mileage like they show for other vehicles.

I am a fan of the filters personally since I can put it in and forget about it for the next 50,000 miles until I have to 10 minutes to clean it. K&N actually filters better once it gets some dirt on it.
