disco II front door suede.

I have a discoII 2000 that I bought new and try to keep in mint shape. Does anyone have any suggestions for replacing the driver door suede. Would it be best to take it to a auto interior place. Has anybody done this. Thanks in advance.

Courtney:)

What is exactly is wrong with the door card suede? if it is just grubby it can be cleaned successfully. If you wish to replace it maybe is a job for a professional upholstery refinisher as an option but also get a price for a new replacement door card as well. Personally I would reckon it's difficult to refit a new suede door covering, maybe more difficult than the headliner which I have replaced on a D2.

Check this Write up.

Alcantara(the door panel material you reference) is a faux suede product that was developed by Toray of Japan who also make a lot of apparel and upholstery textiles.
