Disco wheel conversion?

Anyone know if it's possible to convert the Disco I larger 5 lug wheels to the Disco II smaller 5 lug wheels? Also, if it's cost effective to do this?

Thanks!

You can with the use of wheel adapter s[pacers but that will weaken you wheels ability to take lots of abuse.

why not just sell the DI wheels and buy some used DII wheels?

No, cause I feel they are not safe.

Adapters and spacers a pretty expensive. Why do you want to change the lug pattern?

DI's and DII's have different bolt patterns. The rims are not interchangable.

I was suggesting he sell his current D1 rims..get the money..take that money and buy DII rims from somebody

I under stood what you were saying, but he will need a lug convertor spacer thingy to make them fit his truck.
I have seen them before and they are expensive.

ahh ok. I see what you are saying now..this conversion seems like WAY more trouble than it is worth.

I get the feeling the ruck is not going to be wheeled anytime soon. Hence the OP probably wants a larger wheel which is not the best offroad so the abuse item is probably not that important.

I feel the bolt pattern on the D1 was designed for it and is the strongest one out there. When you look at how that hub and wheel work together they are a thing of beauty.

The spacing needed to make it work too would add another 2-3" to the track width.

Hi Guys i am new here, and writing from Colombia South America.
I just installed wheel adapter on my Disco I, to fit Range Rover Hurracaine 18" wheels, the truck looks very good. Not recomended for extreme off-roading.
I will post pics tomorrow.
