Discovery 2 Low starter voltage
Hey all, been a while since my last post. I have a problem, 2000 Disco 2 with low starter voltage?! The starter will not turn and and solenoid won't make any sound at all. I checked the battery voltage and it is 11.5 volts, during starter energizing I only have 9.1v at the starter positive post! I hooked up the ETHOS and an engine immobilizer code popped up, so I reset is and followed onscreen instructions, code did not latch and problem persists. I swapped out the starter relay with a known good and no change. Any advise would be appreciated, thanks!

You think it could be that simple? I assumed that even with 11 volts id at least get a hint of starter engagement. I guess that would be a good place to start, the battery is at least 5 years old. I guess I was over-analyzing!
