Heart pounding, YES! What you mentioned was all true. Before we left I was comparing my lifted truck with new tires which I smashed both front and rear bumper here in NJ from off roading. But the trip was 5 hours away and my other truck (silver) have no CDL but no amigos. I would like to test how the grey would feel like hauling with tons of camping equipment plus a little light off roading which turned to be harder, LOL! I did measure the difference between stock and lifted from ground to the differential. Though the other looked taller the clearance of differential to ground is only 1-1/4 which I know could be a lot in real situation but I'll suffer the 5 hour drive to the place. LOL! The suspension made it higher as well. If only I have better tires, I would be able to go through with no problem since I got out of the situation with flat tire. Well, I need more wheeling to learn. hehehe

True, On the day we left which was supposed to be 4:30am, placing all the gear on the hitch carrier, everything was like a swing, swinging side ways so we had some delays because I had to run to the shop and had two nuts welded and secure the carrier.

Freshly welded same day we left.

One piece of hindsight advice, when you get stuck or cannot move, take a second and check your gearing, and the CDL. I have done it myself thought I was in low and was sitting in high and not locked. Annoying but not the end of the world.

EXACTLY! EXACTLY! Thats what happened. No matter how much rev I did, it wont move. The guys were thinking that the trans might got a bad hit. A bunch of them tried to lift the rear just to keep it moving but nothing happened. Until, the trail leader came and checked the shifter and moved it to LOW/CDL and the truck moved with no hesitation at all and got me out. Youre right about that situation.
