Discovery II Electrical Library & Diagrams

Anyone know where I can get the Discovery II Electrical Library and Electrical Diagrams? I'm trying to repair a hacked up harness on a 2004 d2.

land rover service factory manual RAVE download land rover resource, service manual, workshop factory manual, download, rave, vehicles including discovery, series, defender, range rover, freelander, LR3, Handbooks, Catalog, Catalogue, Land Rover Inte

Get the one with the big file warning.

the link in my sig takes you to all the downloads as well. i just had to go digging through the electrical diagrams for a window issue.

and here are some more links, including the ECU manuals which are not in the RAVE. When looking at circuits, those tiny numbers are the connector numbers, switch over to electrical library and they have photos of the location and pin outs for whole connector, on Discos that have never seen daylight, much less the trail or an oil leak. You'll also want to look at the start of the manual for the color code (like K = pinK, U = blUe, etc.)

The rave and other electrical electrical diagrams I keep finding are labeled up to 2003MY. I'm working on a D2 where wires have been tampered with. The problem at the moment is that on the plug on my rear LH O2 sensor (T185) pin 4 is suppose to go to ECM plug C0635 pin number 7. Instead it's going to pin 15. I'm wondering if this is, because this diagram is 03 or that the wire was swapped. However, this particular wire does not look like it's been tampered with.

Or maybe some plugs switch from one side to another. Attached page on the CPU shows pin 7 to be an output for heater on downstream O2, while pin 15 shows to be sensor signal for the upstream O2. I don't think they had two different CPUs.... Do wire colors in harness match drawing?

no the schematic is right. My helper on the other side of the continuity tester is getting cross eyed LOL. The pin is in the right place.

nahtanoj 06-30-2012 01:23 PM

hmm, pin 15 should belong to the front O2 sensor. the drawing should be right for all D2's up to '03.
have you checked the front wire to see where it goes? perhaps they got swapped at the sensor end?
is that the only one out of place?

ahh good to hear.

the most dangerous of electrical helpers is the color blind one.....;)

LOL yea right! was funny. He kind of felt bad when I pointed it out. We finally seem to find the culprit. The crank sensor connector would not pass continuity. Further following the wire reveals a tear. I'm going to repair it now.

2 Attachment(s)
See attached for pages on the sensor and signal output from same. If removing, be dang sure every little spacer and nut goes back in same sequence. Tolerance is about a gnat's eyelash.

Wow Thanks, good info. I finished and the truck ran great. I still got some codes showing on the diagnostic. And the right hand O2 harness needs repairing. One of the faults is that sensor. That sensor harness melted against the manifold.
Right now, I'm just very happy to see this truck run. As far as I know this truck has not run in a year.
Here are the codes i got now:
P1590 ABS rough road signal circuit malfunction
P0150 O2 sensor circuit malfunction (bank 2, sensor 1)
P0174 System too lean (bank 2)
P1884
P2903
P0003 Fuel Volume Regulator Control Circuit Low
