Discovery II - Are Rear Bumper Lights Required
I am thinking of modifiying my rear bumper and it would no longer have any lights. Seems like the other rear lights should cover me for being 'street legal'. Any thoughts?

You will need to do something about your turn indicators.
I cross wired my revers light with my turn indicators, added new amber lights and that worked well. For a reverse light I added a Hella work light to the molding above the rear license. |
most laws only require the two body mounted rear lights and the third brake light in the rear window

Personally? When I buy my next new car I buy (which will never happen) I intend to ask for a discount for the turn signals and mirrors...I don't need them. I figure no one else uses them, cops don't ticket for it...why the hell do I need them? And if I don't need them, why the hell should I pay for them?:D
