Oh, you're too lazy to read the owner's manual. They built the truck, they know how it works. The instructions are pretty clear in there and describes how and when to use it.

Actually with the t/case in low, you can then decide how fast you want to go down hil on an icey street, 1st. gear is a crawl while 3rd. or 4th. gear you will be able to go a little fast, up around 10 to 15 MPH.
I would suggest you not use it though and go practice driving on the icey road cause your AVS will work well, that is, if you have decent snow tires and not the factory Wranglers.

Ditto what Mike said. HDC can be used in any gear, as long as the transfer case is in low range. It just depends on how fast or slow you want to go.

Very true, I'm just used to using it in very slow situations off road.

i wouldnt use it all and don't, but for a first timer i would reccomend going with 1 first till you understand how it works. not to mention it can get scary the first time you use it as ur truck picks up speed and you hope the brakes will kick in.

as stated before bundu....i prefer to interact with actual users of this feature.

Yes i'm so lazy that i cannot lift the book from the storage bin it is in...really no need for that comment, perhaps you could have just suggested i read the manual, that would have been helpful and far less negative....annnnnyway...

i'll take the others advice and play with it a bit on some snowy hills round here....enjoy my next post....."trashed my LR on a snowy hill" :+)
