Electrical connectors not used in cowl

2 Attachment(s)
So I just recently purchaed a 2003 D2. It had a check engine light on with code p0441. I popped the hood to see how hard it would be to check the purge valve, and I notice a couple of connectors that are not being used up in the cowl area. What are these for?

That makes sense. It seems like maybe all of these things are wired for every possible option. I have already read about the heated seats if you have leather. (I don't, I have vinyl). Also, my front bumper was cracked when I bought this thing, and I've got the style that doesn't have fog lamps. I pulled the end caps off to see how hard it would be to replace it with one that does have fog lamp. The bumper actually has the cutouts for the lamps and there are connectors behing the bumper for it. So I pulled the "blank" switch inside, and it has wires plugged into it.

Does all of this mean that I could just buy fog lamps, heated windscreen, and a couple of switches and have some upgrades? I'd probably do the fog lamps.... I don't want to think how much a new heated windscreen would be.

Bout $1200 installed at my local trusted Glass Doctor. Most horrifying experience since I bought the rig. Pains me like having my Vas done.

Heated front windscreen installed was $400 ish about 6 months ago on my 2004 D2. I got the front and rear replaced via insurance, with a $100 deductable per window, I got new heated rear and front windows for $200 total... Make sure they don't F- up the seals, etc... they tried their best on mine, and I had to go back to them a few times to get them to do it right...

When I found out that those wer far a heated windshield, I went ahead and cut the connectors off and removed the rubber seal from the hole. That damn thing just makes water and dirt collect like crazy in that upper area.

Can anyone tell me where the other ends of those wires are located?
