LR gave me that Bar's leak treatment as well. It held for about a week and then i started noticing a drop in coolant again. This is again after they had replaced both head gaskets. I'll have to take her to a private mechanic. No more dealing with the dealership for me.

Anything that is supposed to stop leaks also has the risk of blocking the coolant passages and causing even more problems. Stay away from that stuff and have a mechanic find out what is causing the problem.

disc02 - very good idea to get away from the dealership. Independent mechanics do better work because they care a lot more about the vehicles. Most dealer mechanics are working there because that's the first place that hired them.

I'm facing the same issue where the vehicle overheated only while my wife was driving it and could not get specifics as to where the needle was or if the overheat light was on or how long it may have been driven in an overheated state. My vehicle is leaking and I'm going to crawl underneath and pull the oil pan to verify the sleeve status. I already found a leak coming from between the block and the head.
