Default Reverse hissing after new head gaskets

After getting my Head gaskets replaced by the dealer under warranty, my disco makes a weird hydrological noise when in reverse (only when its cooled down). it worked perfect before, as we were backing out of the dealer garage (they parked us in...) we noticed a strange noise hydrological noise, it kinda sounds like when you turn the steering wheel all the way and it hisses a bit. Unfortunately we just couldn't go back into the dealer, we had to go shopping... :l my warranty has 1800 miles to go, and im bringing it back in soon, just want your guess on what it is, if you can figure out what im saying ill wait for her to cool down then go drive it and make a recording of it.

I also noticed today replacing a head lamp, theirs orange anti freeze in that the p.o. had it changed (i don't know if land rover changed it) isn't dexcool bad? if it is ill change it.

I have no idea what the noise could be.
Yes DexCool is bad if not properly maintained, you cant change it until your warranty is up or you will run the risk of voiding it.
Ever notice the correlation between all DII's needing new head gaskets and the fact they they all came with DexCool from the factory?
And yes, I too hate the new forum set up.

Oh yeah, when you do switch to a new coolant you must make suer that it is aluminum safe and you MUST do a complete flush with distilled water to get ALL of the old coolant out.

Dexcool is only bad if you have a leak. The head gasket problem was not just for D2's. D1's are just as likely to blow.

The admin people are working on fixing our page. It sorts by thread title and not time.....
