expected lifespan

I am sure this has been discussed before, but a link to a thread would be great.

I am a newbee to Land Rovers, I am looking for a Discovery II in the 2000 year range. I am seeing mileage from 97k up to 160k, that doesn't bother me if they are built right.

Whats the expected lifespan on these vehicles?

I am really handy and can fix just about anything (full engine rebuilds are not out of the question).

depending on vehicle history and maitenance they can blow up at 60k if ignored or last to well over 300k if maintained

Sounds like most cars today, my plan was to take any one of them out on a test drive for at least 30 minutes to heat everything up and see what issues come up.

Any other suggestions on things to look / listen for?
