Finally got out wheeling again
After way too long of mot having time or money to go wheeling, myself and 2 other trucks went out to play on one of the easy trails around here. We were about to start up the last big hill to the end of the trail but turned around when we got reports that the trail was tough when dry and the rain was making it nearly impassable. The other trucks with me had crappy tires so rather than making a bad day of a good one we turned around and decided to try a side trail on the way back home. After meeting a couple ATVs heading the opposite direction on a trail that there was no room to pass, we made our way across the stream until once again we encountered a rain soaked hill that just didn't look like much fun with no winches and 2 trucks on non-aggressive tires. So we turned around again, called it a good day and went home. Overall, an excellent time out playing.
Here's a few pictures I took today.

You guys were afraid to take your trucks off road?

Have you seen what a stock DI with street tires can do?

llersa - it's Bill Moore Lake and Mill Creek trails. We are planning another trip up there when the weather is a little dryer to run both trails start to finish.
Spike - Those pictures show very little of the trail. It's not a terribly difficult trail but you spend a lot of time dealing with good size rocks as you climb. Where we turned around was over 10,000 feet elevation. None of us had a problem with being off road but the thought of slipping off a wet rock and down a mountain side wasn't very appealing.
