which floor mats to get????
I need some floor mats, front and rear, and also rear cargo mat for my 2000 D2.
I see I can get genuine LR mats or I also see I can get aftermarket ones such as WeatherTech. The LR mats seem pricey, but of course they should fit the best. I want a good fit and something heavy that is not going to slide around or move. What should I get and where can I get it? Any pros/cons to aftermarket versions? What are the board members using? |
WeatherTech hands down, I have them and they not only fit great but they are very durable.
The floor in my cargo area looks brand new. |
WeatherTech hands down??? Wow, those must be some good mats. Are they heavier than LR mats for a 2000 D2?

I use the weather tech ones in my Audi, been great. STill need to order a Set for the rover.

Are the Weathertech's a exact fit? Looked to me like it's their generic fit ones to me.

The WeatherTech floor mats are a direct fit.
My truck came with them so I cannot compare them to the OEM ones. |
I just bought them and was hoping they fit a little better. If you have the carpet floormat in your footwell you will see how it fits about perfectly. But the WeatherTech leaves about 2 inch gap on one side. Not perfect but, good. I wish they fit like the WeatherTech floor liners, but they do not make that option for our years. Sucks. So this is our best option, wished they fit a little wider.

I assume that you are not interested in carpet mats - but if you are - I have the Lloyd Mats from this place (front, rear and cargo):
2003 Land Rover Discovery Floor Mats perfect fit and good quality |
If you want carpeted floor mats go to a carpet store and buy some scrap remnants, cut to size and away you go.
I got tan to match the wifes car's interior, cost me $15 for 4. In my truck I prefer the WeatherTech type because they hold mud and water to be dumped out on the ground and not let get soaked into the trucks carpet. |
