DI or DII?

If you have a D2 and haven't read about the front drive shaft failures, you need to spens a little more time catching up.
What year is your truck? Did she damage the tranny?

It is an 04, from previous posts. It has close to 100K, and I would bet the front shaft had not been built.

Ceawl under the truck and look at the transmission, is there a big hole?
Do you have a blood red puddle the size of Lake Michigan under the truck?
If so you need a new transmission, if not you need a new driveshaft.

Do a search on the forum for "front drive shaft" or "double cardon"

I had the same thing happen to me. The OE shaft is not serviceable, it gets dried out by the transmission and cat heat. I replaced mine with a custom servicable one from tom woods it bolts right on no mods needed works great.

Good price for a used drive shaft, but it should still be rebuilt before installing.
